We are BLACK "n" THICK

Growing up in Nigeria, was both fun and funny.

Life luving kids in every area,looking dirty like some newly discovered mummies.
Hardly fall sick except for malaria, unlike kids in developed nations.

We'd neva think of suicide,life is short why make it shorter.
Little wonder the world declared:we are the happiest people on earth!

While others learn to survive,we were born naturally to survive.
No matter how hopeless things look;We walk hand in hand with HOPE

The world gave us internet;we gave them its future.(Emegwali)
They gave us literature; we gave them its spice.(Soyinka,Achebe,Chinamanda etc)
They brought yahoo;We improvised,and gave them yahooyahoo.

We see green. They see grey.
Though blood is red. Ours is green
We are THICK not because we are BLACK!
We are BLACK because we are THICK.
